Many of you are aware of our founder Barbara Toomer's passing in April of 2018. It was unexpected and she left peacefully surrounded by her family. With her passing we are proud to announce that on August 15, 2018 the Utah State Senate honored her with the proclamation below. The Disabled Rights Action Committee Strongly Supports Utah Proposition 3 for Full Medicaid Expansion

The Disabled Rights Action Committee strongly supports proposition 3, full Medicaid Expansion, which will be on the ballot this November. Proposition 3 is a citizen’s initiative which, when passed will provide access to Medicaid coverage for individuals earning less than $17,000 per year, or parents earning less than $34,000 per year for a family of four. ADAPT/Utah is a grass roots non-profit organization fighting to help release people with disabilities from nursing homes and institutions so they can live freely in their own homes.
